Rockit Takes A Break

The Antwerp E-Sports Festival was a great event for rockit as well as for the whole Enemy Territory community. Seeing our team really enjoying to be together and to be at the event was a pleasure for us. We are extremely proud on the ET side as a third place at such an event is a great achievement. Next to our ET team also the Day of Defeat: Source team was doing great by beating zeroPoint! Gaming and with that winning the ESL Major Series recently. Both teams announced to take a little summer break to re-gather motivation and then come back in fall for the big competitions.

Rockit as an organisation will accompany the teams and take a break to get new strength as espacially the last months have shown a high level of inactivity within the managing staff at rockit. We will try to make use of the summer break to get back to where we wanted to be with an improved online service, probably new teams and some surprises. You will of course not need to pass on our RtCW and RTS section as they will keep on playing.

July Ladder Wars Results

The official EA Command and Conquer Ladder Wars results for July are in, and after a month of games which saw our very own rockit.-Cloverfield^ Qualify in third place for the playoffs that took place this weekend, battleing it out for the prizes on offer:
1st: 2 EA games
2nd: 1 EA game
3rd: C&C t-shirt
4th: C&C t-shirt

Clover is of course also defending his title as reigning Ladder Wars Champion after winning EA's tournament an amazing three times in a row.

And he managed to extend that winning streak with yet another victory in the EA Ladder Wars competition by taking gold this month! The games played were:

Clover has not been practicing TW as much as he would have before due to the release of Starcraft 2 which we hope to bring you more news of Clover competing in soon. Rockit.TF2 Is No More!

After the great Rockit.ET announcements concerning our 3rd place @ Antwerp eSport Festival we now have to write about a rather bad news. Our rockit.TF2 team is no more. After several lineup problems the team members decided to call it a day. Nevertheless we are proud about what they have achieved in the past and I think so is the team as well. They had a great time playing an awesome ETF2L Season 7 and achieving an impressive first rank in their Division.

Rockit.ET Placed 3rd @ AEF 2010!

Our Rockit.ET team managed to gain a good 3rd place at the Antwerp eSport Festival 2010 in Belgium. The Enemy Territory team as well as bo, sikz and shmoe had a great time in Antwerp and as soon as they come back I am more than sure that they will bring us some cool pictures as well as refreshing stories about their LAN experience. The crew around gifty had a nice and successful weekend without losing a single round on the group stage and beating Acsi 4:0 we later went down against Impact so the team dropped to the lower bracket. Two 4:0 wins later, against SPEEDLINK and Belgian Fraternity, we had the same situation: Team Rockit against Impact in the lower bracket final. And it was Supply and sw_Goldrush again but this time our squad won on Supply but lost with some seconds on Goldrush. So 2:2 with Frostbite coming as decider map. Impact had a better start and with setting an incredible time of less than two minutes and with that they took the win. Nevertheless the whole Team Rockit management is proud of our boys performance and their 3rd place at the Antwerp eSport Festival 2010!

Over the next weekend the highly anticipated Antwerp Esports Festival featuring Call of Duty 4 and Enemy Territory will take place. This is a big step for ET in LAN events being the first ever large event outside of the normal crossfire series LANs.

Team Rockit are one of the favorites to take a top3 position and we hope they enjoy themselves! We will keep you up to date with Team Rockit results from Belgium here on team-rockit.com!

11:09 CET - The looser bracket final against Impact will be played around 11.30 CET! Check the GamesTV for the ETTv-IPs!
10:49 CET - We just won our match against Belgian Fraternity with 4:0 and thus are facing Impact again in the Looser bracket final with the looser taking the 3rd place and the winner procceding to the winner bracket final against Dignitas
06:30 CET - Day 3 is due to start within a few hours, Rockit played Speedlink last night to get more time to sleep this morning! so our first game will be around mid day. Early games are the consolation tournament between the teams that did not qualify from the group stage

Antwerp eSport Festival - The Groups

The Antwerp eSport Festival is around the corner and with some of European finest Enemy Territory teams the event will surely become a success. The administration has just announced the groups and the full schedule list for the offline tournament this weekend. With six teams per group each clan have a guaranteed amount of five games and with an optional consolation tourney on Sunday the organisation tries to make this event as good as possible for all participants. Our very own Rockit.ET is placed in group C and with Speedlink as well as aestas we got two good challangers. Besides those two teams +Forward, saiko and Mighty Ducks are playing in our group for a playoff spot and we never should underestimate the not so known challangers.

This Tuesday will bring us another great evening with some fast-paced Enemy Territory action. Our very own rockit.ET crew will practise against the German top contender Team Speedlink right at 21.00 CET and you all can enjoy this intense battle live via GamesTV.org and to make it even more entertaining our shoutcaster owzo will shoutcast the whole match. And to top it he will invite one player of the rockit.ET crew just a few minutes before the start to ask him some special questions thus make sure to tune in right in time! rockit.RTS in The Money

rockit.RTS player Cloverfield has been competing in the 'Tiberium Wars League' competition over the last 3 months, the competition had 4 qualifying stages where the top 8 players over the 4 qualifying brackets were invited into the Final Playoff to battle it out for the prize pot of $250.

After finishing second in the qualifying stages Clover felt confident of taking a top 3 place to win some cash, but as the cup was placed right in the middle of his final exam period he would have to prac as much as he could around revising - which wouldn't be a lot!

In the end, Clover finished in 3rd place taking home $40 in prize money. The final standings were:

rockit.Cloverfield^ had the following to say about his performance in TW League and what is coming up for him and rockit.RTS in the future:

Im very proud to have done so well over the last few weeks in all the competitions I have been in as I have had to do my finals at the same time which was very stressful.

Im looking forward to Sc2 release over the summer and hope to see where that takes me in the RTS scene, I really enjoyed the beta and with the full release only a week away I can hardly wait - Special thanks to all at rockit during my exams for all the kind comments!
